Your first visit

Four steps from the door to a class

A placement visit is a short time at one of our pools. A parent or caregiver stays for all of it, and nothing is timed.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Book a time

Choose a visit on our enrollment page, at the community pool or the college pool, whichever is closer to home or work.

  2. 02

Step 2: Come to the pool

Bring a swimsuit or a swim shirt and a towel. A parent or caregiver comes along and watches from the deck.

  3. 03

Step 3: Get in the water

An instructor gets in with your swimmer and looks at comfort in the water, floating and kicking, at your swimmer's pace.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Choose a level

We tell you which cap color your swimmer starts in and which class fits your week.

What to bring

A towel, and whatever helps

Bring a swimsuit or a swim shirt, a towel and a change of clothes for after. Goggles and a cap for long hair are welcome. We provide boards, noodles and belts.
